Why Knowledge Is an Obligation

It is an obligation upon every Muslim male and every Muslim female to seek knowledge. Knowledge here means having religious education which enables a person to distinguish between good and evil. Religious education is necessary to know the commands of Allah. A person who has no knowledge of Islam can easily be misguided and he alone would be responsible for this great loss.

By the grace of Almighty Allah, there are numerous religious educational institutions the forts of Islam spread across this country. It is necessary to bring our children to these institutions, provide them education that will make them good Muslims and responsible citizens, and to support such institutions in every possible way.

From a Rented House to Two Institutions Under One Roof

15th May, 1988 - The Inauguration

Darul Uloom Sayeediya was inaugurated on 15th May, 1988, by Hazrath Ameer-e-Shariat Allama Shah Abus Saud Ahmed Saheb Ra. - one of the most revered Islamic scholars of Karnataka. The institution began humbly, in a rented house, with a handful of students and an unwavering mission: to provide free Islamic education to the children of the community.

Early Years - Guidance Under Moulana Nayyar Rabbani

Hazrath Moulana Nayyar Rabbani Saheb R.A. served as the institution's first President, providing enlightened guidance and extending sincere cooperation towards its establishment and development. His scholarly standing gave the young institution credibility and direction from its very first days.

35 Years & Beyond - Two Buildings, Two Institutions

Through the blessings of the elders, the untiring efforts of the founder, and the wholehearted support of well-wishers, the Madrasa grew from a rented house into two three-storey buildings with boarding and hostel facilities. Today, the compound houses a fully functioning Madrasa and a Masjid, serving nearly 250 students.
