A distinguished and popular religious educational institution of Bangalore, serving the community since 1988.
It is an obligation upon every Muslim male and every Muslim female to seek knowledge. Knowledge here means having religious education which enables a person to distinguish between good and evil. Religious education is necessary to know the commands of Allah. A person who has no knowledge of Islam can easily be misguided and he alone would be responsible for this great loss.
By the grace of Almighty Allah, there are numerous religious educational institutions the forts of Islam spread across this country. It is necessary to bring our children to these institutions, provide them education that will make them good Muslims and responsible citizens, and to support such institutions in every possible way.
Darul Uloom Sayeediya was inaugurated on 15th May, 1988, by Hazrath Ameer-e-Shariat Allama Shah Abus Saud Ahmed Saheb Ra. - one of the most revered Islamic scholars of Karnataka. The institution began humbly, in a rented house, with a handful of students and an unwavering mission: to provide free Islamic education to the children of the community.
Hazrath Moulana Nayyar Rabbani Saheb R.A. served as the institution's first President, providing enlightened guidance and extending sincere cooperation towards its establishment and development. His scholarly standing gave the young institution credibility and direction from its very first days.
Through the blessings of the elders, the untiring efforts of the founder, and the wholehearted support of well-wishers, the Madrasa grew from a rented house into two three-storey buildings with boarding and hostel facilities. Today, the compound houses a fully functioning Madrasa and a Masjid, serving nearly 250 students.
No fees are collected from any student. No service charges are levied. Every child enrolled, whether in Hifz, Aalim, Nazirah, or Formal Academic Education, receives their education, boarding, and care entirely free of cost.
Alongside Deeni courses, students receive instruction in Kannada, English, Mathematics, Science, and Computer by qualified teachers. Both streams receive equal attention as being a good Muslim and a responsible citizen are aligned goals.
Education here is not limited to textbooks. Students are trained in Islamic conduct, cleanliness, leading prayers, delivering Jum'ah addresses, and observing Ramzan fully within the institution.
From his earliest days as a student, Moulana Syed Abdur Rahim was known for his eagerness to serve his teachers. He cherished the company of Islamic scholars and travelled widely to meet and obtain the blessings of the great scholars of his time, including Hazrath Shaikhul Hadees Moulana Muhammad Zakria Saheb Kandhlavi R.A.
It was this deep-rooted love for Islamic scholarship that led him to establish Darul Uloom Sayeediyah on 15th May, 1988 - beginning in a single rented house with limited resources and boundless resolve.
