Alhamdulillah, the Annual Dastarbandi and Graduation Ceremony of Darul Uloom Sayeediyah was held with great religious fervour and spiritual atmosphere. This day marks the culmination of years of rigorous study, memorisation, and dedication by our students, as they transition from learners to bearers of divine knowledge.
The event was graced by eminent scholars from across India, who addressed the congregation on the importance of preserving the prophetic legacy in the modern world.
The Crowning of Knowledge
The highlight of the ceremony was the 'Dastarbandi' (turban-tying), where new Huffaz were formally crowned by senior scholars. This tradition, dating back centuries, symbolises the students' readiness to serve their communities and uphold the values of Islam with sincerity and wisdom.
A Community Celebration
The ceremony was attended by hundreds of guests, including the families of the graduates who witnessed this proud moment with tears of joy. Following the formal proceedings, a special banquet was prepared for all attendees, fostering a sense of brotherhood and shared purpose.
As these graduates depart to serve in various capacities as Imams, teachers, and leaders, we pray that Allah (SWT) accepts their efforts and uses them as instruments for the betterment of the Ummah.
